Simon Cowell bends the rules on X Factor UK, as Mathew Knowles girlband “From Above” survives cutting round

Reports from Boot Camp have revealed that Mathew Knowles girl band, From Above, secured a spot from a mass cut of 60 contestants on the X Factor UK, and the other contestants aren’t liking it.

To take part the the X Factor competition, acts must not be already signed to a label, but Mathew Knowles somehow got Simon Cowell to bend the rules and the UK competition now allows signed acts, or acts with management, to audition.

Other contestants on the show felt this was unfair as “From Above” would have a better advantage over them. The Sun quoted a member of a rival girl group as saying: “It’s disgusting. The X Factor is supposed to be about discovering raw, new talent.”

We sense the public may not like this either and this may ruin the girls chances in the competition. They need to let their talent speak from now on.

From Above were featured in the MTV documentary “Breaking From Above last year”, which followed their trials and tribulations as Mathew Knowles attempted to guide them to pop success.
