Why do we let designers get away with this…”in the name of fashion”?

Dolce and Gabbana, two of my favorite designers, decided to create “Decapitated Mammy Earrings” that basically look like black women in head wraps with their heads chopped off.

In whose eyes is this considered Fashion? Controversial…yes, Shock Value…yes, Fashion…NO. Any woman that decides to wear the decapitated head of a black woman in a head wrap filled fruits as a fashion accessory on her ears, should not be out in public.

What is D&G saying here? That the decapitated head of a traditional African woman is somehow “beautiful”?. This is tasteless.
