American Idol bosses are coming to Nicki Minaj’s defence over claims by Mariah Carey that she threatened to shoot her.
Mariah Carey reportedly told Barbara Walters taht Nicki Minaj threatened to shoot her so she hired extra security but American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe is refuting the claims and reveals Carey confronted Minaj on Wednesday morning (03Oct12) to get to the bottom of the death threat claims.
He tells TMZ.com, “The statement (that Minaj made a death threat) is absolute rubbish. It’s absolutely not true in any way, shape or form.”
