Jesse Tyler Ferguson stands up to anti gay bullies on same sex marriage
Jesse Tyler Ferguson has spoken out on his facebook fan page against the anti gay bullies that have been trolling the actor’s page with homophobic comments on same sex marriages.
According to Jesse
“As an actor I have learned that I have to develop a thick skin but as a HUMAN I am having a harder time. The amount of vitriol I have received in the past few days over my stance on marriage equality could kill an adult horse!
The majority of my fans have been amazing & supportive. But I am in shock and ashamed of many of my ‘fans’ who are standing firm in their stance that I am ‘less than’ them because of my sexual orientation. To those who feel this way: I gladly show you the door and wish you well on your journey”
This prompted thousands of likes and one user even commented;
As an actor (and an amazing one at that) it is so great that you are voicing your feelings!! My hope is that when my son is my age (he is 5 now) that he will look back at the “issue” of gay marriage and think, “How ridiculous was it that people were so bigoted back then?” Just like I look at black and white people not being allowed to get married, before my time. I personally think that just giving people “partner benefits” is the one thing that truly harms the institution of marriage. Gay or straight, marriage is a commitment that should be encouraged for all people who love one another! I am sorry that people have been cruel to you, someday things will be the way that they SHOULD be, I have utter faith in that!!! You are great! Continue to be great and ignore the haters, they are the ones who will be embarrassed someday
Kudos to Jesse
